As ports, logistics hubs and industrial operations continue to accelerate their transition towards lower-emission operations, Terberg Special Vehicles has expanded its electric portfolio with the YT201EV Electric 4×2 Terminal Tractor – a purpose-built, zero-emission vehicle designed to deliver high performance, reliability and low operating costs.
Designed for use in ports, distribution centres and industrial operations, the YT201EV combines Terberg’s proven terminal tractor platform with a fully electric driveline, providing operators with an efficient solution that supports increasingly ambitious sustainability targets while maintaining the productivity required for demanding applications.
The new model is powered by a Terberg TZ445XS synchronous traction motor with a peak output of 240 kW and a rated power of 180 kW. Customers can choose between 155 kWh or 310 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery systems, offering operating times of up to 30 hours, depending on battery configuration and operating conditions.
To maximise uptime, the YT201EV supports CCS2 fast charging with charging capacities of up to 260 kW using dual charging guns (130 kW per socket). The vehicle also incorporates Terberg’s Thermal Management System, helping optimise battery performance in both cold and warm climates.
Built on a 4×2 driveline, the terminal tractor offers a 36-tonne fifth-wheel capacity, a gross combination weight of up to 80 tonnes (depending on operating conditions), and an electronically limited maximum speed of 35 km/h.
It also comes equipped with Terberg Connect telematics, including a five-year subscription, enabling fleet managers to monitor vehicle performance, utilisation and maintenance remotely.
