Pasico Ghana, a subsidiary of Paterson Simons, awarded full scholarships to two Takoradi Technical University (TTU) students.
These two TTU students (Linda Ekua Awuah and Abdul Karim Arimiyao) have successfully completed a 6-week Industrial Internship with Pasico’s Engineering Team, based in our Takoradi office.
Both scholarship students are currently in their second year at TTU (going into the final year) and studying a Higher National Diploma program in Mechanical Engineering.
Linda is the second female student to undergo industrial training at Pasico Ghana.
She has shared the following feedback:
”During my internship, I had the opportunity to work at both on the field and in the office. The field work included repairs, troubleshooting, various maintenance services and inspections. I had the experience to practice most of the theories that I learnt at TTU so far and even practiced new theories, that I am yet to learn. Some of the office work also included saving the field service report, documentation, daily job allocations, and stock taking. I also had the opportunity to be oriented on the safety culture of Pasico by attending a safety induction with much emphasis on the safety policy, height work, risk assessment, and manual handling, just to mention a few. I am happy that I was given the opportunity to complete my Internship with Pasico Ghana, and I am grateful for the opportunity to acquire new skills and knowledge. I hope that I get to work with Pasico Ghana in the near future.”
Well done for completing your internship at Pasico, Linda and Abdul!
