Pasico Ghana, Paterson Simons subsidiary, recently attended the West African Mining & Power Expo (WAMPEX) 2026, held from 3–5 June at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana.
Recognised as one of West Africa’s leading mining and power industry events, WAMPEX brings together mining companies, equipment suppliers, technology providers, investors, policymakers and industry stakeholders from across the region. The 2026 event was expected to attract more than 6,000 mining professionals and over 250 exhibitors, providing a valuable platform for collaboration, innovation and business development across the mining value chain.
For Pasico Ghana, the event provided an excellent opportunity to engage with customers, partners and industry peers while exploring the latest developments shaping the future of mining in West Africa. Discussions throughout the exhibition highlighted the growing importance of responsible mining practices, local participation, value addition and sustainable investment in supporting the long-term growth of the sector.
WAMPEX continues to serve as an important meeting point for stakeholders across mining, energy, finance, technology and government, creating opportunities to exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships and identify solutions that improve operational performance and sustainability.
The Pasico Ghana team enjoyed a productive three days of networking, knowledge sharing and industry engagement, building meaningful connections and exploring opportunities that will help support the continued development of Ghana’s mining industry.
As the mining sector continues to evolve, events such as WAMPEX play a vital role in bringing together the expertise, innovation and investment needed to drive sustainable growth across West Africa.
