Paterson Simons Nigeria’s Ridwan Adeniyi has been recognised as the Group Safety Champion for Quarter 1 2026 in recognition of his outstanding commitment to workplace safety and his consistent dedication to maintaining the highest safety standards across all aspects of his work.

Ridwan has demonstrated exceptional diligence through the completion of over thirty risk assessments across his assigned tasks, ensuring that potential hazards are identified, assessed and effectively controlled before work begins. His proactive approach has contributed significantly to creating safer working environments for both colleagues and customers.

Known for his strict adherence to company and customer safety procedures, Ridwan consistently leads by example and promotes a strong safety culture wherever he works. While supporting operations alongside a third-party contractor at APM Terminals Apapa, he received commendation from the customer’s safety team for actively ensuring that all personnel complied with established safety rules and regulations.

In addition to his commitment on site, Ridwan has played an important role in maintaining operational safety standards through the completion of nearly forty weekly vehicle inspections, helping to ensure that vehicles and equipment remain safe and fit for purpose.

His dedication to continuous improvement is further demonstrated through the regular safety observations he submits, identifying opportunities to strengthen safety performance and reduce risk across operations.

Ridwan’s consistency, vigilance and leadership in safety reflect the values of the Paterson Simons Group and make him a highly deserving recipient of the Group Safety Champion recognition.

Congratulations to Ridwan on this well-deserved achievement.
