The 7th edition of the Africa Ports Forum (APF) took place in Accra, Ghana, from 19 to 21 May 2026, bringing together key stakeholders from across the continent’s maritime, logistics and port sectors. Organised by One Africa Forums, the Africa Ports Forum has become a leading pan-African platform for strategic dialogue around port development, maritime connectivity and logistics corridors.

Since its launch in 2019, in partnership with Tanger Med Group and other major international and regional stakeholders, the Forum has been hosted in several prominent African port hubs including Tangier, Djibouti, Douala, Abidjan, Cotonou and Libreville.

The 2026 edition welcomed more than 300 high-level participants from over 30 countries, including port authorities, terminal operators, maritime companies, logistics providers, investors and policymakers. Discussions focused on some of the most pressing topics shaping the future of African ports and trade infrastructure, including port competitiveness, digital transformation, sustainability, regional connectivity and infrastructure financing.

Through a programme of high-level panel discussions, strategic dialogues and targeted B2B meetings, the Forum provided an important platform for collaboration and knowledge-sharing across Africa’s port and logistics ecosystem.

Paterson Simons attended the conference as part of its continued engagement with the ports, terminals and logistics sectors across West and Central Africa. The event provided an opportunity to connect with industry partners, customers and stakeholders while contributing to conversations around the future development of African port infrastructure and operations.

As a long-standing partner to port and terminal operators across the region, Paterson Simons continues to support the growth of Africa’s maritime and logistics sectors through equipment supply, technical expertise, commissioning, training and long-term aftermarket support!
