The Paterson Simons team attended Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbour Crane sales and technical training from 24–28 August 2026, further strengthening our expertise in supporting ports and terminals across West and Central Africa.
The programme included visits to the Konecranes factory in Düsseldorf, Germany, and the Port of Antwerp-Bruges assembly site in Antwerp, Belgium.
Representing the Group were Tommaso Mariani, PASICO Operations Director; Archie Lyne, Group Sales – Port Solutions; and Schebonn De Wet, Plant Sales Administrator – Port Solutions.
FURTHER DEVELOPING KNOWLEDGE TO SUPPORT CUSTOMERS
The training covered the Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbour Crane range, its applications and key selling points, alongside market trends. These sessions further strengthened our team’s understanding of how the range can meet different cargo handling requirements, helping inform discussions with customers across the region.
FROM PRODUCTION TO PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE
Visits to the production and assembly facilities gave our team a first-hand view of the attention to detail and quality behind Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbour Cranes.
The programme also included an opportunity to experience the Mobile Harbour Crane simulator, adding a practical dimension to the training and connecting product knowledge with crane operation.
BUILDING ON A STRONG PARTNERSHIP
Following a successful dealer conference earlier in the year, the training provided a further opportunity to exchange knowledge, strengthen alignment and discuss how our partnership can continue to support customers across West and Central Africa.
By combining Konecranes Gottwald’s equipment expertise with our regional experience, the partnership continues to provide mobile harbour crane solutions for the region’s ports and terminals.
