Konecranes Overhead Cranes have formalised the relationship with UK-based Paterson Simons for the sole dealership of their industrial cranes in Nigeria. The deal was signed between John Traynor, MD of Paterson Simons and Knut Stewen, Konecranes Regional Sales Director for Africa, on 30 May 2014.
Paterson Simons is currently the all-range dealership for Konecranes in West Africa. Industrial Cranes in particular are experiencing steady sales increases as industrial growth off of new oil finds in the Gulf of Guinea continue to bolster growth in the region.
Paterson Simons already has an office in Nigeria from where they sell and service Konecranes Port Cranes and Lift Trucks, Terberg Port Tractors, RAM spreaders and JCB Teletruks. “The growth of our partnership with Konecranes demonstrates our leadership in the challenging lifting equipment and machinery sector in West Africa” says John Traynor, MD of Paterson Simons.
