Konecranes has taken a major step forward in its electrification journey with the launch of its new fully electric reach stacker – an innovation designed for the high-intensity, heavy-duty operations that define today’s global material handling industry.
Unveiled to an exclusive audience in Shanghai on 19 November, the new model delivers up to 16 hours of continuous performance on a single charge, marking a significant advancement in eco-efficient container handling. Already available across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and South America, Konecranes plans to expand availability to Europe and North America in 2026, further strengthening its global electric offering.

High Performance Meets Intelligent Efficiency
Engineered for maximum productivity, the electric reach stacker offers fast charging – achieving a full charge in just 1 to 3 hours, depending on battery size and charging power. With handling speeds significantly faster than diesel models, the machine is built to deliver robust performance, enhanced safety, and long-term reliability.
It launches with four powerful high-capacity top-lift models, featuring a compact wheelbase for improved manoeuvrability and the ability to maintain high lifting capacities across three container rows. Stacking capabilities include 5/5-high or 6/5-high at 8’6” / 9’6” containers, ensuring it excels in demanding environments where efficiency is essential.
“Our focus remains on delivering lift truck solutions that drive efficiency for customers worldwide. With the introduction of the electric reach stacker, we now offer a comprehensive range of fully electrified lift trucks designed to optimise operations regardless of the location or handling need,” says Andreas Falk, Senior Vice President, Lift Trucks, Konecranes.

Advanced Safety and Smart Technology
The new reach stacker incorporates intelligent control systems, load-sensing hydraulics, and one of the most spacious and safety-focused cabins in the industry, giving operators an optimised driving experience and dependable safety performance.
As part of Konecranes’ Smart Connected Lift Trucks lineup, the electric reach stacker uses TRUCONNECT® to collect real-time operational data – including battery condition, energy usage, braking energy recovery, alarms, alerts, and overall diagnostics. This information is transmitted securely to the yourKONECRANES customer portal, allowing operators to monitor performance, safety, and environmental impact with total transparency.
