The system (red supports) is mounted on both sides of the mast. While activated, the system is locked mechanically in horizontal position, preventing the spreader from moving further down.
The service technician can also block the machine from moving by pushing a button placed on left fender; with the gear in neutral, there is no possibility to use the hydraulic functions (no lifting / lowering) during the check-up.
