Accounts Assistant

An opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to support the Accounts Assistant Manager with providing accurate account information by ensuring the SAGE system is up to date with correct and checked data.  Thus allowing timely reporting to the management team for decision making and control of the business.

The role is based in our office in Brighton and after an initial training period the potential to work from home some days during the week is possible.

A general accounts role which will include:

  • Ad hoc setting up of new customer and supplier accounts into SAGE and relevant master files
  • Processing of payment runs as a identified and agreed with the FD
  • Post all purchase invoices into SAGE
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements, bank statements
  • Regular sale/ cash reports for management

Training will be given for this role including sponsorship for AAT however we will expect the successful incumbent to own their own development by seeking external courses that are aligned to the business objectives.

Educational Qualification

English  and Maths GCSE or equivalent


The right personal attributes are important for this role however an being computer literate with a strong demonstrable knowledge of MS Office in particular Excel is required.
