Paterson Simons recently attended a Franna dealer training programme and factory visit in India, further strengthening the company’s expertise in Franna pick-and-carry crane solutions for the West and Central African market.

Representing Paterson Simons, Group Business Development Manager James Heels and Plant Sales Manager Mark Chiocca participated in a series of technical and product-focused sessions hosted by Franna and the wider dealer network from around the globe. The programme included product familiarisation, technical training, manufacturing insights and discussions around the future development of the Franna range for regions utilising Tier 3 engines.

The visit provided valuable updates on Franna’s operational capabilities, product roadmap and continued innovation within the pick-and-carry crane sector. Attendees also had the opportunity to tour the manufacturing facilities and gain first-hand insight into Franna equipment production processes.

Franna cranes continue to gain recognition globally for their compact design, mobility and lifting performance, particularly in industries such as mining, construction and industrial maintenance, where fast deployment and manoeuvrability are essential.

In the years since Paterson Simons’ appointment as official Franna representatives across West and Central Africa, its commitment to strengthening technical knowledge and product expertise has remained a cornerstone of supporting customers across the region with reliable lifting solutions and long-term aftermarket support.

The final day allowed a customer representative from Ghana to join the factory tour, which included a sneak preview of a new model that will soon be released for sale in the African market.

Paterson Simons extends its thanks to the Franna and Terex India teams for hosting the training and sharing valuable insight into the continued growth and development of the Franna brand.
