The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, with a proven track record in troubleshooting and maintaining Gottwald Mobile Harbour Cranes. Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mobile Harbour Crane Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, with a proven track record in troubleshooting and maintaining Gottwald Mobile Harbour Cranes. This role demands precision, safety awareness, and the ability to work confidently at heights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on mobile harbour cranes.
  • Interpret and work with simple and complex electrical and hydraulic drawings.
  • Perform testing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty electric motors and crane components.
  • Utilise Simatic Manager and Sinamic Starter applications for system troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain certification requirements.
  • Provide detailed and accurate technical reports on maintenance and repair activities.
  • Conduct engine diagnostics and repairs, particularly on Cummins and Volvo engines.
  • Execute heavy-duty jobs on Gottwald Mobile Harbour Cranes with precision and efficiency.

Required Skills:

  • Strong ability to interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in Simatic Manager and Sinamic Starter applications.
  • Solid understanding of Siemens AC motor modules.
  • Certified in safety training and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Comfortable working at heights with attention to detail.
  • Skilled in engine troubleshooting (Cummins and Volvo preferred).
  • Competence in testing and maintaining heavy-duty electric motors.
  • Excellent reporting and documentation skills.

Experience:

  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing Gottwald Mobile Harbour Cranes.
  • Proven ability to handle heavy-duty maintenance and repair tasks on mobile harbour cranes.

Training:

  • Previous Gottwald Mobile Harbour Crane training preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Education: HND or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Certifications: Safety training certification (mandatory); Siemens systems training advantageous.
  • Additional: Valid working-at-heights certification preferred.
