Dismantling one of Manitowoc’s largest booms.

In News Snippets, Oil & Gas by Alisa Evans

Belmet 7 – supplier to the oil industry – based in Takoradi, Ghana recently required their Manitowoc 16000 crawler crane to be disassembled, stripped down, serviced and reassembled.

Having dominated the Takoradi skyline for 4 years the customer instructed us to dismantle the crane in order to conduct preventative works prior to a year of hard work in a harsh marine environment. Our team of crane engineers in Takoradi were equal to the task, and dismantled, serviced and reassembled the crane.

The crane recently conducted its first lift after the service.
